The Puerto Rico Ice Hockey Association will be sending two teams to the Dream Nations Cup from May 28 - June 1 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It is the first time PRIHA has participated in the event.
Puerto Rico Women's National Team will be attending the event. They will compete against Lebanon, a South Korean heritage team, and a club team from the Netherlands before the playoffs. The team will look to build off of a second-place finish in the LATAM Spring Classic and compete for its first championship since 2021. The full schedule of the event is here: https://dreamnationscup.com/schedule/. Games will be live-streamed by the event hosts.
PRIHA will also send a Men's team to compete in Division 1 (there is also a second division). The men will face heritage teams from Central America, Egypt, and Armenia before the playoffs. The Men's team is comprised of athlete-members that are part of PRIHA's Northeast community chapter and reside within three hours of the Arena. The roster will be a mix of athletes from the Men's National Team as well as some from the Men's Junior National Team and it's Adult Development Program. The average age of the team is 19 years.
This is the second version of the Dream Nations Cup. Algeria and the Netherlands claimed titles last year. The event

states it is "an invitational international ice hockey tournament that celebrates and emphasizes the emergence of the sport in non-traditional hockey markets" where "nations from every continent are invited to showcase their developing hockey program while engaging with and gaining support from their nation’s cultural communities within the greater NYC/Metro area."
