CHALLENGER SERIES 2025 SEASON

Updated: May 22

The Challenger Series 2025 season kicked off in Chicago, IL at Fifth Third Arena May 8, 9, 10, and 11. This year's competition features full participation on the Mens side from teams from four IIHF Member National Associations: Greece, Lebanon, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. Those four teams will compete in six games total, twice against each team (once versus each team in Chicago and once versus each team in Montreal). The top two teams in the standings will then face off in a Championship game in Montreal for the second opportunity to lift the Challenger Series Heritage Cup.

The Women's division grew to a third team and featured one weekend of competitive hockey in Chicago. Next season the members plan to grow the Womens division to four or more team following this years success and the introduction of a team representing Greece.

Last seasons Men's division featured more than 20 athletes with professional playing experience with many more having played at high levels of College and or Junior hockey. Greece joined half way through for a round of exhibitions. Jamaica bested Lebanon in an exciting championship game to clinch the inaugural championship.
