New York Rangers host PRIHA Youth!

ree

For the third year in a row, on October 23, 2025, Youth from Washington D.C. through Connecticut joined New York Rangers alumni Boo Nieves as the New York Rangers hosted the Puerto Rico Ice Hockey Associations (PRIHA) youth development kids ages 6-16.

In what is always an exciting event, the Rangers and their staff put on a pre-game clinic for our youth program that saw our players have an afternoon of actioned packed drills, on-ice games and capped it off with a shootout at "The World's Most Famous Arena."

Beyond the clinic itself, the visit signified a commitment to inclusion, outreach and growth of the game of hockey to unconventional demographics. For the Rangers to host this event, it highlights the ambitions they have to further impact growth amongst the heavily Puerto Rican populated Tri-State Area, and we look forward to the continued work PRIHA can do to reach the community in collaboration with the New York Rangers.

Once the kids hit the ice, they were able to focus on developmental drills and taking their hand at going up against the professionals.

Girls in Hockey are a huge part of our program. Female athletes prepare to work their way towards our Junior and National team.

We are so grateful for the continued relationship with the New York Rangers and their Community Outreach & Fan Engagement department.
