The Puerto Rico Ice Hockey Association (PRIHA) is excited to announce the debut of its roller hockey in-line program which will be held on the island nation of Puerto Rico and runs from August 20 to November 12, and to resume in January of 2024.
The Puerto Rico Resident Committee continues to build on their goal to continue to grow the game on the island as they build on the inertia created by recent positive results from the men's, women's, and U18 national teams. For this iteration of "Meet-ups" there is a concerted push to get all participants on skates and in helmets (regardless of skill level) and to start teaching the game's skills and tactics on skates as to transition players and their skillsets onto higher levels of hockey learning and playing.
Gilberto Solivan (Puerto Rico Resident Committee - Co-Chair) took some time to share the news and was excited while asking skaters to "Come out and give it a try... we look forward to reconnecting with members and we hope to see new faces there as well." At press time there were still internal discussions being held between PRIHA and local government officials pertaining to a potential new training location so please be sure to check back with PRIHA's Resident Committee as they continue to work diligently to hammer-out the finer details.

PRIHA estrena programa de hockey sobre patines en línea
La Asociación de Hockey sobre Hielo de Puerto Rico (PRIHA) se complace en anunciar el debut de su programa de hockey sobre patines en línea que se llevará a cabo en la nación insular de Puerto Rico y se extenderá del 20 de agosto al 12 de noviembre, y se reanudará en enero de 2024. .
El Comité Residente de Puerto Rico continúa fortaleciendo su objetivo de seguir haciendo crecer el juego en la isla a medida que aprovecha la inercia creada por los recientes resultados positivos de los equipos nacionales masculino, femenino y Sub 18. Para esta iteración de "Encuentros" hay un esfuerzo concertado para que todos los participantes usen patines y cascos (independientemente del nivel de habilidad) y para comenzar a enseñar las habilidades y tácticas del juego en patines para que los jugadores y sus habilidades pasen a niveles más altos del aprendizaje y juego del hockey.
Gilberto Solivan (Comité Residente de Puerto Rico - Copresidente) se tomó un tiempo para compartir la noticia y se emocionó mientras pedía a los patinadores: "Vengan y pruébenlo... esperamos volver a conectarnos con los miembros y esperamos ver nuevos caras allí también." Al momento de esta publicación todavía se estaban llevando a cabo discusiones internas entre PRIHA y funcionarios del gobierno local sobre una posible nueva ubicación de capacitación, así que asegúrese de volver a consultar con el Comité Residente de PRIHA mientras continúan trabajando diligentemente para ultimar los detalles más finos.
